Values = beliefs in the importance of specific behaviors and outcomes

Core values = long-standing and particularly important values (may be couched in other language such as “guiding principles” or described as part of a “mission statement”)

Values-based leadership = a way of leading in which core values play a central and explicit role in everyday decisions, goals and actions

Why is values-based leadership effective?


Our structured curriculum is made up of values-based roundtables to allow our next generation of leaders to develop their values and leadership skills. As we help students learn and apply these concepts, we provide a foundation that will set them, and their communities, up for meaningful and sustainable success.

We are Currently Fundraising for 2024 Camps


Our camps for 2024 will be based around the iLead program, encompassing transformational table workshops and additional Leadership Development Tools. Transformation Tables method of facilitation enables students to practice their emerging leadership skills while encouraging connection and inclusivity through a peer-to-peer environment. Students develop better relationships with their peers, find their voice and take action to lead themselves in alignment with good values.

We live in a world that has grown significantly in an awareness of the need for developing the leadership ability of the next generation, yet 63% of Millennials and Gen Zer’s (half the world’s population), feel their leadership skills are not being developed.

The next generation needs good leadership development so that they will be prepared to lead well.

 

517 Hope Leadership Development combines values-based leadership development with social skills development and an opportunity for students to model and practice it to achieve positive change.
